To establish and uphold charity, philanthropy and higher learning
that support advances in health care for the citizens of New Jersey.
|
|
The New Jersey Physician Assistant Foundation is the charitable arm of the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants. Our objective is to inspire philanthropic support from physician assistants as well as from their employers, corporations and the general public. With this as a framework, we can support advances in healthcare that are driven by physician assistants and that support the PA profession. Since its inception in 1999, the Foundation has been busy fulfilling its mission through a variety of programs.

Foundation Scholarships
2006 PA Scholarship Winner
We are pleased to announce the Foundation and the Dr. Michael F. Collito
Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded a $1000 scholarship last fall to Nicola
Medrano. Nicola used the scholarship to help fund a rotation in Central America.
Through the years, foundation scholarship winners have made a strong commitment
to their communities and to working with the medically underserved. We applaud
the time and energy they have put into their future profession and the
enthusiasm with which they serve those in need. Congratulations!

Angel Connection
Angel Connection Headquarters in Greystone, New Jersey

Some of the youngest supporters of the Angel Connection Holiday Program with gifts to be donated.

Thanks for your support!
|
Angel Connection Holiday Gift Program - In New Jersey alone there are over 6,000 children living in families affected with HIV/AIDS. The Angel Connection, a New Jersey non-profit corporation, started in 1992 to help fulfill the wishes of these children. These children would not have received holiday presents without the donations of Foundation supporters. We thank all of you who supported this project—we truly appreciate the generosity that was shown.
We had another great year! The New Jersey Physician Assistant Foundation
is always one of the largest contributors to the Angel Connection, and 2005 was
no exception. The Foundation received sponsors for almost 200 children living
with HIV/AIDS throughout the holiday season. We also donated $500 to help cover
the costs of the Angel Connection program. We were truly overwhelmed by the
generosity of the students at the UMDNJ and Seton Hall PA programs, as well as
PAs form all over New Jersey. Thank you all for your support.
