Dear NJ Physician Assistants:
Your involvement in your state society has never been more important. Not only
are we in an ongoing struggle to advance our practice statutes to be more in
line with our neighbor states, we are also in a continuous fight to prevent
small special interest groups from eroding the privileges we already have. As we
begin to work toward a rational countersignature requirement, your personal
assistance is the only thing that can help us move forward.
How do our present countersignature requirements prevent you from practicing
with maximal efficiency? How do they prevent you from reaching the underserved
population in the Garden State? Please consider the answer to questions like
these as we begin to move forward with legislation. Your commentary on issues
like these will be critical to our success!
NJSSPA is financially sound and our membership is strong. The only thing missing
now is your active involvement! We will need PAs in every county to get
involved.
Finally, the Board often is often asked the question "what can NJSSPA do for
me?" The answer, quite simply, is we don't know. What do you need help with? How
can we support you? What is hampering your ability to deliver top-notch patient
care? If you can give us the answers to questions like these, together we can
finally move forward on addressing them.
